FAQs

Do I need to RSVP to both Friday and Saturday events?
Yes, in order to get an accurate headcount for food, we ask that each guest RSVP to both events. If you can’t make it on Friday, but still want to come to the Saturday ceremony, no worries! Feel free to adjust RSVPs per your personal schedule.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to our venue’s ability to accommodate a limited number of guests, we ask that only invited guests attend our wedding festivities. All invited guests will be addressed on your invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

When should I arrive at Idyll?
The weekend kicks off with the Welcome Barbecue on Friday at 7:00 PM. However, guests staying on-site are welcome to arrive as early as 4:00 PM in order to get settled.
Where should I park?
Due to the influx of vendors and off-site guests, we ask that only one car per cabin be kept on-site. All additional cars will need to be moved nearby to free overflow parking at the Hocking Hills State Park Lodge after getting settled.
-
What should I wear to the barbecue?
The Welcome Barbecue is a casual and optional event, so please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. No dress code, YAY!
What time should I arrive?
We will be hanging around The Cabin from 7:00-9:00 PM, so feel free to come and go as you please. However, we can’t promise to keep food out of the clutches of the groom for any late arrivals.
Should I bring anything?
While food will be provided, this event is BYOB. Please bring any drinks you would like to have on hand for the night.

What should I wear on the Wedding Day?
We ask that our guests dress in cocktail attire for wedding day festivities. For men, this means a button-up, collared shirt and slacks; lightweight jacket or tie is optional. For women, this means a midi to ankle length dress or polished separates.
Please note that the ceremony will be fully outdoors, while the reception will include both indoor and outdoor settings. Please wear appropriate footwear that will allow you to navigate walking slightly uphill/downhill and on gravel. For those of you looking for even more guidance, or if you’re wanting to dress towards a certain vibe, check out the link below.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Please arrive at Idyll Reserve between 5:15 PM and 5:45 PM to allow ample time for parking, grabbing refreshments and getting seated before the procession begins at 6:00 PM.
Is there parking at the ceremony location?
Yes! There is parking at Idyll Reserve, however it is extremely limited. We highly recommend all off-site guests carpool to the ceremony together, if possible.
In order to accommodate the influx of vendors and other guests, we ask that on-site guests keep one car per cabin. All additional cars will be moved to free overflow parking at Hocking Hills State Park Lodge. For additional parking questions, feel free to text the bride or groom!
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that photos and cameras are put away during our wedding ceremony. We will have a professional photographer there to capture the moment!
Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?
Yes! When submitting your RSVP, please indicate any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can plan accordingly.
Will there be any libations at the reception?
If you know us, then you know that we will be celebrating with a drink or two (or four…)! If you plan to partake in those celebrations with us, we ask that off-site guests arrange for a ride share service, or a designated driver. :)

What should I bring for the weekend?
While we are providing dinner for Friday and Saturday nights, we suggest guests bring any breakfast, lunch, or snack items they might need for the weekend. There are also other eating establishments nearby. We are providing refreshments and alcohol during the reception, any additional needs are BYOB.
Please pack a rain jacket or umbrella in case of inclement weather. The wedding will go on, rain or shine!
Hiking boots and attire if you plan to go on any excursions.
Bug spray, as most events are outdoors.
Camping chair if you would like a more comfy fire-side seat Friday night.
Apparently Idyll doesn’t provide conditioner (?), so if you are someone who needs specific toiletry items, please bring them yourself.
